Title: Consultant

Responsibilites: The Beacon Group offers its entry-level Consultant position as an opportunity to learn and assess a career in management consulting. During the Consultant’s first year, he/she will focus on the core elements of our craft: research, writing, and project delivery. Team-based project delivery with frequent client interactions is the model a new Consultant hire quickly becomes immersed in.

After mastery of the entry-level Consultant position, top performers become eligible for promotion to a Senior Consultant position. At this level, the second set of craft fundamentals are taught and explored: presentation skills, time management, and project management are core focus areas. Development at this stage is expected to take 10 to 14 months.

Top Senior Consultants who have demonstrated outstanding capabilities and a strong interest in a longer-term future at Beacon may earn a promotion to Manager and be invited to join a practice team led by one of the firm's Senior Vice Presidents. Within 30 months of a Consultant’s hire, a formal review is given to assess progress and future career opportunities with the firm.

For the Consultant position, The Beacon Group seeks individuals with excellent analytical and interpersonal abilities as well as a high level of self-motivation and energy.

We do not require previous experience in business; however, such experience and course work in business can be helpful. We also encourage candidates with foreign language capabilities.

A Consultant will hold a variety of research and analysis responsibilities including:

  • Excited to learn about how business works - how companies organize themselves, compete in the marketplace and make strategic decisions
  • Willing to go the extra mile to deliver the highest quality strategic solutions to our clients

We do not require previous experience in business; however, such experience and course work in business or economics is very helpful. We also welcome applications from those with foreign language capabilities.

The responsibilities of a Consultant include a variety of research and analysis responsibilities, including:

  • Market research
  • Synthesis of original research
  • Time management required to juggle multiple tasks concurrently
  • Business/presentation writing
  • Regular interaction with firm leadership and clients
  • Oral presentation capabilities for internal and client meetings

Beacon’s Consultant job will go to the applicant capable of excellent performance in the listed responsibilities with a strong record of academic achievement and outstanding motivation to succeed.
